Our Story
After earning a Masters in Science from UCLA’s School of Public Health, Meck Organizing founder Nancy Meck started a career managing bustling departments devoted to the scientific and ethical review of research studies at children’s hospitals. She came to realize the organization, efficiency, and empathy used to keep herself and her staff personally balanced and on top of that workload could be effectively applied to other businesses, busy professionals, and families as they manage home and office projects, relocations, and overwhelming day-to-day tasks and responsibilities. With that, in 2007 Meck Organizing was born. Nancy and the Meck Organizing team find it an honor to have the opportunity to help clients discover simple, effective ways to get more joy and productivity in their every day.
Nancy splits her time between Los Angeles and Atlanta, getting up to Mammoth Mountain as often as she can. A former competitive club runner, she regularly runs, surfs, snowboards, and strength trains, and she loves time with her family including her four-legged son, Casey. Though her professional and personal worlds involve a tremendous amount of motion, she is a huge proponent of being still and relaxing, what she calls “constant motion followed by aggressive rest.” Nancy believes in the power of positive thought, making the most out of any situation, and bringing out the best in people. Those beliefs form the basis for how Meck Organizing approaches any task or project.
Our Philosophy
Meck Organizing knows that more joy in the every day is achieved when folks have a sense of purpose, trust things are taken care of, and feel balanced, flowing, and “in the zone.” We want that for our clients, for their families, for their businesses, and for ourselves and everyone else on this great planet. To that end: Keep it simple. Keep it positive. Be resourceful. Conserve time, money, and energy. Less doing. More being.
